Garlic chives are are of our favorite backdoor greens that work in just about every meal! They should be grown outside of everybody’s kitchen door, on their balcony, or anywhere you can easily snip a few to add to your dish. The flavor is just like the typical culinary chives but with a spicy garlic punch! The white flowers are particularly flavorful when they’re in season and add serious ornament and garlic flavor to dinner. Plants die down to the roots in late fall but appear very early in spring, at least here in the mild PNW.

Hardiness: With mulching, Perennial Leek can be grown where temperatures fall to minus 20º F.
Size at Maturity: 18-24″ in height
Pests & Diseases: Hardy Leek is not bothered by pests or diseases.
USDA Zone: 5 (w/mulching)
